COVID 19 LOCKDOWN CAUSES BEACH-RUN

Persons rush to get “last dip” at Clifton Hill Beach, as news of a second Covid 19 lockdown his Trinidad & Tobago

As news of the pending lockdown which begins from midnight on April 14th 2021 began spreading, Trinidadians quickly adjusted their daily routine, making the time, for one last dip in the salt (beach), before the lockdown takes effect.

We visited Clifton Hill Beach in Point Fortin, and spoke to visitors who were there from various parts of the country and for various reasons. However, the main reason was directly linked to the pending lockdown.

Even, member of Parliament for Point Fortin, Kennedy Richards was among the sea bathers and we had a chat with him and others who found the time to catch that last dip.

We asked those we interviewed, what was the reason they visited the beach this evening?
